Is there a placebo?
Yes, you’ll have a 50% chance of getting the placebo. A placebo is a pill that looks like the investigational treatment, but has no active ingredients. Neither you nor the study team will know which pill you have.
What is the investigational medication?
The investigational medication is a pill taken once or twice daily as instructed. We are studying to see if it can help people with alcohol use disorders to reduce their alcohol consumption.
Is the study voluntary?
Yes, the study is completely voluntary. Even after you join the study, you are free to stop the study at any time for any reason.
Do I have to quit alcohol to be in the study?
This study is specifically looking at people who want to either completely quit or reduce their alcohol consumption. If that’s you, fill out the form above to apply.
