This investigational treatment is designed to deliver biologic factors associated with tissue repair and regeneration — capturing important signals commonly associated with stem cells, without using living cells. Administered as a single knee injection, it is designed to target your knee osteoarthritis at its source.

Yes, this study is placebo-controlled. Participants will have a 50% chance of receiving the investigational treatment and a 50% chance of receiving a placebo (an inactive saline vehicle) injection. Neither you nor the medical team will know which injection you receive.

Participation lasts for just over 12 months. This includes a screening period of up to 4 weeks, a single treatment day, and follow-up visits at 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months.

You will need to temporarily stop your current pain medications (called a washout period) before certain study visits so your natural pain levels can be accurately measured. During the study, you will be asked to use acetaminophen as your primary rescue pain medication.

No. If you meet the eligibility criteria and choose to participate, all study-related care, including the investigational injection, X-rays, and medical evaluations, will be provided at no cost to you.
